The Camp Snap CS-8 is a screen-free digital video camcorder inspired by the classic Super 8 movie cameras of the 1960s and 1970s. It combines a retro pistol-grip camcorder design with modern digital recording, rechargeable power, removable SD card storage, built-in audio, digital zoom, and five film-inspired video filters.
There’s intentionally no playback screen and no instant preview. Pull the trigger to record, capture the moment, and watch your footage later after transferring it to your phone or computer. The result is a digital video camera that brings some of the anticipation and spontaneity of shooting Super 8 film or an old home movie camera into a completely reusable format.

The CS-8 features a 2.7K video sensor paired with a fixed f/2.0, 3.29mm lens, providing an approximately 25.7mm equivalent field of view in 35mm terms.
The wide-angle perspective works especially well for travel, parties, concerts, skate videos, vacations, weddings, everyday home movies, creative projects, and casual handheld filming.
Five Film-Inspired Video Filters
A physical selector lets you choose between five built-in video looks:

4GB SD Card Included
The CS-8 includes a 4GB SD card pre-installed, so it's ready to record out of the box.
The included 4GB card holds approximately 30 minutes of video footage. For longer recording times, the CS-8 supports SD cards up to 128GB, providing up to approximately 16 hours of video storage.
The removable SD card also makes it easy to expand your storage or keep separate cards for different trips and projects.
Trigger Recording & No Playback Screen
Recording is intentionally simple: pull the trigger to record a clip. Each trigger activation creates a new video file, making it easy to capture short moments, scenes, and B-roll throughout the day.
There is no playback screen and clips cannot be reviewed or deleted directly on the camera. Just like shooting film, you don't immediately know exactly what you captured. Transfer your footage afterward and discover it later.
Built-In Audio & External Microphone Support
The CS-8 features a built-in microphone for recording audio along with your video.
A dedicated microphone jack also allows an optional compatible external microphone to be connected when you want to expand your audio setup.
8x Digital Zoom
Dedicated T and W controls provide up to 8x digital zoom while filming.
Press T (Telephoto) to zoom in and W (Wide) to zoom back out, recreating the familiar controls found on traditional handheld video cameras and camcorders.
Analog Battery & SD Card Meters
Functional analog-style meters on the camera provide a visual indication of remaining battery power and SD card capacity.
It's a fun design detail that fits the vintage aesthetic while still providing useful information without adding a modern LCD display.
Cold Shoe Accessory Mount
A built-in cold shoe allows compatible accessories such as video lights and external microphones to be mounted directly to the CS-8.
The camera also includes a lanyard attachment point for adding an optional wrist strap or lanyard.
USB-C Rechargeable & Easy Video Transfer
The CS-8 is completely reusable and rechargeable via USB-C. The included USB-C cable can also be used to transfer recorded footage to compatible devices.
