Set of three vintage protest buttons reading "NO SHOCKOE STADIUM" in bold red and pink lettering, backed by a baseball graphic. These were produced in Richmond, Virginia by Jennifer Unlimited, a local button maker active during grassroots political campaigns.

These buttons were created in response to the 2013–2015 proposal by then-Mayor Dwight Jones to build a new minor league baseball stadium in Shockoe Bottom, one of the country’s most historically significant sites of the domestic slave trade. The project drew widespread opposition from activists, preservationists, and community organizers who sought to protect and memorialize the area’s historical legacy rather than redevelop it commercially.

Each button measures approx. 2.25" across and shows signs of age and oxidation from storage—see photos for details.
