Original Kodak No. 2A Folding Autographic Brownie film camera, produced by Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY between 1915 and 1926. This early 20th-century folding camera features a metal body, integrated autographic window, bellows construction, and Kodak Ball Bearing shutter with Brownie lens.
This camera is untested and being sold as-is. The bellows and folding mechanism do not operate properly. The camera does not extend or close correctly, and the front standard appears stuck. Due to these issues, the camera is not currently usable and has not been tested for shutter function, light tightness, or film transport.
Cosmetic wear is present throughout, including finish loss, oxidation, and surface wear consistent with age. Bellows show visible age and wear. Interior and exterior components show patina from decades of use and storage.
This piece is best suited for parts, repair, restoration, or display. A strong early Kodak collectible with excellent historical presence and visual character.
Film note:
The No. 2A Folding Autographic Brownie was designed for 122 roll film, which is no longer manufactured. These cameras are most often collected for display or restoration projects.
