Vintage Bell & Howell Model 240 16mm motion picture camera from the 1950’s, featuring a spring-wound motor, automatic exposure control, adjustable filming speeds, optical viewfinder, and original Bell & Howell lens with Emulsol accessory/filter attached.

Camera has been partially function tested only. The spring motor winds and the camera runs/films when activated. All other functions have not been fully tested. Previous information indicated the camera may have a film registration issue, meaning proper film positioning/alignment during exposure cannot be guaranteed. Because of its age and unknown service history, this camera is being sold strictly as-is for display, parts, repair, restoration, or experimentation. It may be capable of working properly but should not be purchased with the expectation of being ready to shoot film.

Shows general cosmetic wear from age and use, including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and wear to the strap. There is a large yellow Santa Fe Brewing sticker on one side of the camera; no attempt was made to remove it to avoid potentially damaging the original finish underneath. Please refer closely to photos for exact cosmetic condition.

AS-IS ITEM – This camera is sold as-is with no returns or exchanges. Functionality beyond the basic spring motor operation described above is not guaranteed. Intended primarily for display, parts, repair, or restoration.
