This rare set of two Grateful Dead promotional cardstock prints is a unique snapshot of late-80s Deadhead marketing. Released by Arista Records in 1989, the Halloween-themed card features the iconic skull-and-roses motif inside a pumpkin with the caption “On Halloween the Dead Rise Again.” The second card is a beautiful psychedelic blue rose pattern bordered with skulls, vines, and other ornate flourishes—evocative of old show posters and acid rock aesthetics.
These are printed on cardstock (not stickers) and were likely distributed as record store promos or collector freebies. Found with a cache of Grateful Dead and counterculture items from the late 80s and early 90s.
