Original vintage 1991 Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson World Heavyweight Championship souvenir T-shirt made for their planned November 8, 1991 bout at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Large front graphic features both fighters, the scheduled fight date, boxing ring imagery, TVKO logo, and Caesars Palace lettering.
The November 8 fight famously never happened. Tyson withdrew after suffering a rib injury during training, and the bout was ultimately never rescheduled before his incarceration. Holyfield and Tyson would not finally meet in the ring until 1996, making surviving merchandise from the canceled 1991 matchup an especially interesting piece of boxing history. The Washington Post
