The IQZoom 928 was one of Pentax’s more capable mid-1990s compact cameras, built around a genuinely useful 28-90mm power zoom lens. The wide 28mm setting is notably wider than the 35-38mm lenses found on many compact film cameras of the period, making it especially versatile for travel, architecture, interiors, street photography, and group photos. The IQZoom 928 is particularly appealing because it combines a true 28mm wide-angle lens with a 90mm telephoto end, while still retaining the simplicity of a fully automatic compact.
