This is a vintage Camp Fire Girls shirt, it is in poor vintage condition as the fabric has begun to dry-rot. We would not suggest wearing or washing this shirt, but keeping it as a collectors piece or for display. There are no sizing tags but it appears to fit best as an adult small/medium. Founded in 1910, the Camp Fire Girls was one of the first organizations for girls in the U.S., focusing on outdoor skills, leadership, and service—similar to the Girl Scouts, which started in 1912. While both encouraged personal growth and community involvement, Camp Fire emphasized co-ed programs early on, officially becoming Camp Fire in 1975. Unlike Girl Scouts, which is known for its structured badge system and cookie sales, Camp Fire has always prioritized individualized experiences and self-directed learning.
The Camp Fire logo, featuring logs and a flame, symbolizes its core values. The fire represents warmth, light, and inspiration, reflecting personal growth, leadership, and community service. The logs beneath the flame traditionally represent the foundational principles of the organization, such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork. Just as a fire needs care to keep burning, Camp Fire nurtures young people to help them find their “spark” and grow into confident leaders.
