Vintage Nikon AF Zoom-Micro Nikkor ED 70-180mm f/4.5-5.6D Macro Lens – Made in Japan
A distinctive professional-grade Nikon macro zoom lens from the late 1990s, the AF Zoom-Micro Nikkor ED 70-180mm f/4.5-5.6D combines close-up photography capabilities with the versatility of a telephoto zoom.
Introduced in 1997, this specialized Nikkor lens was designed to allow photographers to change framing and working distance without constantly repositioning their camera or subject. Unlike conventional macro prime lenses, its 70–180mm zoom range makes it especially useful for photographing flowers, insects, products, and other detailed subjects.
Featuring Nikon ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass to help reduce chromatic aberration, a dedicated tripod collar, and Nikon's traditional mechanical autofocus system, this Japanese-made lens remains an interesting and increasingly uncommon piece of Nikon photographic equipment.
