The Electro 35 series was one of Yashica’s most successful rangefinder camera lines. The GSN was introduced in the early 1970s as an updated version of the Electro 35, retaining the sharp 45mm f/1.7 lens while adding a hot shoe for electronic flash. Its combination of a fast lens, coupled rangefinder, and straightforward automatic exposure has made the Electro 35 series a popular classic among 35mm film photographers.
TESTED & WORKING
This camera has been function tested and is working. The shutter fires, film advance and rewind mechanisms operate, rangefinder focusing functions, and the electronic exposure system responds to changing light. Both the SLOW and OVER exposure warning lights are functioning, as shown in the photos. The battery-check light is also working.
The original mercury battery specified for the Electro 35 is obsolete. This camera was tested and is currently powered using a CR123A battery stacked with two LR44 button-cell batteries to make the necessary electrical contact. This battery setup is included with the camera.

Condition
Good vintage condition with normal cosmetic wear from age and use, including light scratches, marks, and finish wear to the body and metal surfaces. The attached strap tabs show age-related wear. Lens glass presents well overall. Please review all photos closely for the exact cosmetic condition.
