Vintage 1996 Canon Sure Shot Z135 autofocus 35mm point-and-shoot film camera. Introduced as the successor to Canon’s popular Sure Shot Super, the Z135 is a feature-packed mid-1990s compact with a versatile 38–135mm 3.6x optical zoom lens, automatic exposure, autofocus, built-in flash, and multiple shooting modes.
The Canon 38–135mm f/3.6–8.9 lens uses a 10-element, 9-group optical design, giving the camera a useful range from everyday wide-angle shooting at 38mm to a considerably tighter 135mm telephoto view. This makes it a versatile option for travel, portraits, street photography, and general everyday shooting.
Focusing is handled by Canon’s 3-point AiAF Smart Autofocus system, which can automatically select the appropriate focus point rather than requiring the subject to always be perfectly centered. Normal autofocus operates from approximately 0.6m / 2 ft. to infinity, with a dedicated close-up mode allowing focusing as close as approximately 0.4m / 1.3 ft.
The Z135 is fully automatic but offers more creative control than a basic point-and-shoot. Its Best Shot Dial provides seven shooting modes, while the exposure system uses 3-zone metering and includes automatic exposure compensation as well as manual compensation up to ±1.5 stops.
The built-in retractable flash automatically pops up when the camera is powered on and can fire automatically in low light or backlit situations. Red-eye reduction and slow-sync flash are also available.
Film loading, advance, frame counting, and rewind are all automatic, making this an easy camera to simply load and shoot. The camera reads DX-coded film from ISO 25–3200 and is powered by two CR123A lithium batteries.

There is some tape/adhesive residue on the exterior, and most of the printed labels/icons surrounding the mode dial have worn off with use. The dial itself operates properly and these issues are cosmetic only. Please refer closely to photos for overall cosmetic condition.
