Processing Information
This film can still be commercially developed in color.
Velvia 100 uses the standard E-6 color reversal process. When properly processed in E-6 chemistry, the exposed film produces positive color transparencies (slides) rather than the orange-mask negatives produced by standard C-41 color-negative film.
When sending this film to a lab, select 35mm E-6 / slide film processing. Do not select standard C-41 processing unless intentionally cross-processing the film for experimental results.
About Velvia 100
Fujifilm introduced Velvia 100 in 2005 as an ISO 100 professional color reversal film combining the highly saturated, vivid color associated with the Velvia line with extremely fine grain and high sharpness.
Fujifilm discontinued distribution of Velvia 100 in the United States in 2021 following new EPA regulations concerning trace amounts of phenol, isopropylated phosphate (3:1) contained within the film. Velvia 100 has consequently become increasingly difficult to find in the U.S.
This is Velvia 100 (RVP100) and should not be confused with the separate discontinued Velvia 100F (RVP100F) emulsion.
